Corner curtain rods are a godsend in certain circumstances, for instance they’re great when used for L-shaped bay windows and bay window poles. They also work great for fitting curtains into corners. Most of the time the corner curtain rod can be installed with nothing more than the hardware that comes with it when you buy it, and your trusty screwdriver… and maybe a drill if you absolutely need to drill hole or two and your screwdriver isn’t quite up to the mighty task of screwing in a screw without a hole!

On this web page I’m going to talk all about corner curtain rods, both how to find the best deals and what you can expect to pay for them… as well as a little bit of installation advice or at least some tips to get you off on the right foot.

How hard are they to install? Yes, it may be true that corner curtain rods might be a little more difficult to install than the normal curtain rods, but they don’t really have to be. They aren’t inherently more difficult, it’s just that sometimes corners give people a bit of trouble. It’s nothing that you can’t handle though! For one thing, be sure to purchase rods that fit the dimensions of your corner. You’d be surprised how often people don’t bother to measure before they buy. Doing this alone will put you head and shoulders above everybody else and give you a leg up on the installation.

You usually need three brackets for most corner curtain rods. One bracket goes in the middle at the corner and the other two go on the ends of each rod. Don’t worry, the brackets will come with the rod so you don’t have to purchase anything additionally. I suggest that you don’t install the brackets further than 2 meters between each other. This is just going to ensure that your rods don’t sag and that the weight of the actual curtains don’t bend the polls over time, or in fact rip the entire thing off of the wall!

what can you expect to pay for corner curtain rods? that’s going to depend on several different things, including how intricate the rods are, how long they are, and how much and what kind of material that they’re made of. Unfortunately, the fact of the matter is, you’re going to have to expect to pay a little bit more for corner curtain rods than for a regular curtain rod… in fact, you can often pay quite a bit more because they are just more elaborate, take more material, and more skill to create; therefore they’re just gonna cost a little more.

One solution to higher price is… one solution to corner windows is to purchase what is called a bay window corner connector. These little things are L-shaped joints about the size of your hand that connects to your regular curtain rods and allow you to turn them into corner curtain rods. The great thing about these little units is that there incredibly inexpensive. You can find a really nice one for between $10 and $20. Now sometimes they will work with any curtain rod, but a lot of the times they will only work with certain curtain rods. Just be sure to check the packaging or ask somebody in the store if you are unsure.

There’s just something about black curtain rods that sets them apart from other kinds of curtain rods. I’m not sure exactly what it is… a sense of elegance maybe, a sense of something out of the ordinary and beautiful. Whatever it is, black curtain rods really add something special to almost any room in your house.

On this page I’m going to talk about the different kinds of black curtain rods that you can expect to find, and I’m also going to spend a decent amount of time talking about prices so you know exactly what you should expect to pay, and also what you shouldn’t pay!

What are they made out of? black curtain rods can be made up of all kinds of different materials. In fact, just because they’re black doesn’t necessarily mean that they’re made out of something in particular. Many people think that black curtain rods are only wrought-iron, but this isn’t really the case these days as we can make just about any kind material look like wrought-iron… you know, give that same sort of look and feel that you’d expect from wrought-iron.

Room Essentials Ball Cafe Drapery Rod: this is a sort of common black curtain rod that you can expect to find just about anywhere. It generally comes in 84 inches to 120 inches in length and consists mainly of a straight black rod with a simple oval bulb on each end. I suppose you’d call the bulb bell-shaped, but only barely. The telescoping rod comes with mounting hardware which is everything you need to get it up and running. It’s not a super strong rod, but this particular size can sometimes be difficult to find and as such it’s an incredibly good deal at only $20.

General Prices as far as prices go it’s really sort of difficult to pin down exact prices for such a broad range of products… but for the most part a normal distribution curve would place the higher-end models at around $20 or more, and the lower end models at generally around $9-$15. If you’re looking for black curtain hooks, you can expect to pay much less sometimes even $3 or $4 dollars whereas full rod systems will cost more mainly because of the material involved being greater.

Twin Curtain Rod – Antique Brass at slightly lower end of the pay scale is this curtain rod. It consists of mainly a simplistic black pole with twist finials on the ends. These are wrought iron curtain rods so you may be surprised at the price that you can generally pick these up for; which is less than eight dollars! They measure 48 to 84 inches in length which may be a little shorter than you might expect but are still quite adequate for most windows. Generally you’ll have to buy two of these per order to get the deal, but even then it’s only $14 and change for the both of them. You really just can’t beat that. I specially liked the twist finial motif on the end of the rod which is simple yet elegant and interesting to look at.

Ceiling mount curtain rods are great pieces of hardware to use to hang curtains for certain circumstances. They may not be the traditional method, but sometimes you just can’t find rods that are long enough for what you need, or fit the specific dimensions that you have in your home.

Many people think that putting up ceiling mount curtain rods is going to be some kind of terrible, difficult, and time consuming task… but that doesn’t have to be the case and that is one of the things that I’m going to talk about in this article today. I’m also going to spend a minute or two discussing the different price options that you’re likely to run into so you know how much to pay and so that you don’t get overcharged!

Hanging ceiling mount curtain rods: like I said earlier many people find the task of hanging these things to be quite daunting… but they don’t have to be! You just need a few simple pointers and a nice sturdy tall ladder that you can rely on! The actual difficulty, of course, is going to depend primarily on the kind of rods you plan to hang. Sometimes you get away with hanging a couple of ceiling mount brackets and then running a poll between them and walla, you’ve got yourself a ceiling mount.

But other times you may have to run a ceiling mount track, and this can be more difficult to be sure but still doesn’t have to be as daunting as you think. One thing you want to be aware of from the very beginning is the weight of your curtains that you’re planning to hang. Next you are going to want to look at the ceiling itself. Is the ceiling sturdy? If you’ve got heavy curtains and your ceiling isn’t all that sturdy, and you may want to think about the whole project before you invest a lot of time and effort into it. If it looks like it’s going to be just too much for you, then consider hiring somebody to do the project for you… some things just aren’t worth the hassle!

Price Ranges To Expect: there are an infinite amount of ceiling mount curtain rods for you to choose from and it’s going to be a little hard for me to discuss prices, but I will try and give a ballpark that will hopefully be helpful to you.

Ceiling mount brackets are going to probably run you between $15 and $30 each, which isn’t too bad. Ceiling mount tracks, on the other hand are a little more tricky because they will often depend on the length of track that you require. With more track equaling more money of course! Generally speaking a 30 to 50 inch track rod should run you around $20, and a 50 to 86 inch adjustable track rod should run around $25-$45 depending on the quality.

As you can see, the price for these things are not that dramatic, which is why you might consider splurging to have them installed to save you all the hassle. Because I don’t know about you, but I can’t stand holding my arms up in the air for two hours while I try and screw something in that just doesn’t want to go!

Bay Windows are a great addition to almost any room. They open up a room like nothing else can, adding light and the appearance of space that is unmatched by nearly anything else. The problem is, it can be something of a hassle and even a downright dilemma to put up curtains for them because of their unconventional shape.

Fortunately there are several different rod options when it comes to window treatments for Bay Windows. And that’s what I’m going to discuss on this web page today, both the different types of rods; what your options exactly are, as well as what you can expect to pay and where you can find some deals.

Types Of Curtain Rods there are several types of options that you can use. The first one is simply called a bay window curtain rod! Next, you can use three curtain rods, or two curtain rods. Sometimes you can go to a specialty store and have them customize a single fitting curtain rod to your exact window dimensions and specifications. This may be a really nice-looking option, and very easy to install… the only downside is that you’re going to pay a lot more for the customization.

The reason why this customization cost so much money is because your windows are essentially made up of three separate windows. To have a single bay window curtain rod fit your window, it has to be bent just the right way and this requires special tools that are fairly expensive and not particularly easy to use, hence the excessive price. Of course you can’t go wrong with the look and ease of use that these rods bring to you because they allow you to pull all of your drapes to one side of the bay window if you want. You can do this if you use several individual singular rods separately.

Bay Window Curtain Rod Designs the design options for your rods are nearly infinite. You can expect to find just about any designed to meet just about any decor without much trouble. Some of the more popular designs include bole poll, square bay window rod, beaded ball, leaf and berries, bubble ball, glass knob, pineapple, forey, Ivy, swirl, Bishop, birds nest, pina, crackle ball, onion, spiral birdcage, ball, single and wide pocket, and bay window joiners which may be hard to find.

Those are just a very small sample of the different kinds of designs that you can expect to find. They are by no means an exhaustive list. Any curtain store can give you a huge catalog of design options that are available as well as a list of prices so you know exactly how much you can expect to pay for your bay window curtain rods.

Prices for Bay Window Curtain Rods: prices are a tricky subject when it comes to these things. Different designs vary wildly in price. Single curtain rods means that you’ll need three of them to cover each of your bay windows. Price ranges can start at the lower end around $20-$25 per rod, and quickly rise to the middle of the road $50-$75 per rod depending on how decorative you wish them to be. Higher end rods can cost $100 or much more per rod. And of course single bay window curtain rods that are customized to your exact window dimensions can cost much more than this depending on the exact store that you buy them from.

Nothing rounds out a room like an elegant set of double curtain rods. Everybody has single curtain rods, but why be like everyone else? Doubles add texture as well as dimension to any window in your home by creating a sort of layered window treatment. Also, they’re great for anyone who has blinds that are on the outside of Windows and needs to add a valence and drapes to the window.

Most double bracket designs usually feature two adjustable rods as well as decorative scrolled brackets of some sort. They are usually fairly easy to install once you get the hang of them. The great thing about them is that they let you decorate in many different ways by hanging two different curtains in front of one main window.

General Makeup In most cases your double curtain rod will have two rods that are attached to usually the same bracket that mounts the piece with anywhere from one to two inches of space between them.

Installing Double Curtain Rods Like I said, installing these things can be fairly easy if you get the hang of it. Here are some tips that should help you out. Usually it’s not going to take you anymore than fifteen minutes or so, sometimes twenty to twenty five minutes depending on the quality of your hardware, and your experience level. As long as you take precise measurements, and drill were you’re supposed to… it really shouldn’t be much of a big deal or take very much time or energy.

The first thing you want to do is measure the exact place that you want your brackets to go. When you measure, make a mark at the exact spot. This is going to be one to two inches outside of your windows frame and usually four inches or so higher. Mark them by holding the brackets on the spot where you measured and take a pencil and put a little x or a check mark where the screws will go.

Now just drill some holes were you put the marks (try and aim for a stud if possible, but if there aren’t any where you are, use drywall screw holders to put your screws in so that they won’t fall out). Next just screw the brackets into the holes that you just drilled.

You’re almost always going to want to install the rod closest to the wall first because if you do it the other way it’s going to be hard to get your fingers in there. Put the curtain on to the rod before you install the od onto the wall bracket. And you’re also going to want to place a level on top of the rod to make sure that your rod isn’t crooked. The worst thing in the world is getting these things installed and stepping back and noticing that they are slanted and having to start all over again!

Now just do the same thing for the second curtain rod. Follow the same exact steps that you did for the first curtain rod. You may want to skip the level the second time, but I don’t recommend it! Be sure to check to see if it is level just in case!

Double curtain rods give your room is very rich and elegant look that single curtain rods just can’t pull off. I’ve found some of the best deals on the Internet for you today, so check around the site and you’ll be glad you did!
