Ceiling Mount Curtain Rods

Ceiling mount curtain rods are great pieces of hardware to use to hang curtains for certain circumstances. They may not be the traditional method, but sometimes you just can’t find rods that are long enough for what you need, or fit the specific dimensions that you have in your home.

Many people think that putting up ceiling mount curtain rods is going to be some kind of terrible, difficult, and time consuming task… but that doesn’t have to be the case and that is one of the things that I’m going to talk about in this article today. I’m also going to spend a minute or two discussing the different price options that you’re likely to run into so you know how much to pay and so that you don’t get overcharged!

Hanging ceiling mount curtain rods: like I said earlier many people find the task of hanging these things to be quite daunting… but they don’t have to be! You just need a few simple pointers and a nice sturdy tall ladder that you can rely on! The actual difficulty, of course, is going to depend primarily on the kind of rods you plan to hang. Sometimes you get away with hanging a couple of ceiling mount brackets and then running a poll between them and walla, you’ve got yourself a ceiling mount.

But other times you may have to run a ceiling mount track, and this can be more difficult to be sure but still doesn’t have to be as daunting as you think. One thing you want to be aware of from the very beginning is the weight of your curtains that you’re planning to hang. Next you are going to want to look at the ceiling itself. Is the ceiling sturdy? If you’ve got heavy curtains and your ceiling isn’t all that sturdy, and you may want to think about the whole project before you invest a lot of time and effort into it. If it looks like it’s going to be just too much for you, then consider hiring somebody to do the project for you… some things just aren’t worth the hassle!

Price Ranges To Expect: there are an infinite amount of ceiling mount curtain rods for you to choose from and it’s going to be a little hard for me to discuss prices, but I will try and give a ballpark that will hopefully be helpful to you.

Ceiling mount brackets are going to probably run you between $15 and $30 each, which isn’t too bad. Ceiling mount tracks, on the other hand are a little more tricky because they will often depend on the length of track that you require. With more track equaling more money of course! Generally speaking a 30 to 50 inch track rod should run you around $20, and a 50 to 86 inch adjustable track rod should run around $25-$45 depending on the quality.

As you can see, the price for these things are not that dramatic, which is why you might consider splurging to have them installed to save you all the hassle. Because I don’t know about you, but I can’t stand holding my arms up in the air for two hours while I try and screw something in that just doesn’t want to go!
